General Ledger Accounting Lead
Our client is a major globally operating company and a well known family brand you will probably know the name of.
Their offices are based 5 mins from the centre in an area easily accessible by Car, Tram or Metro!
This position will be based in our clients Shared Service Centre, already a major operation which will be getting a lot bigger offering great career prospects for the right candidate.
- Management of a midsized of GL accountants
- To ensure SLA’s are met/ exceeded
- Process owner, constantly looking to improve the overall process
- Personally complete more complicated GL transactions
- Month and year end closures
The duties of the team you would be leading are:
- Process recurring journal/allocations, minimize manual posting
- Reconcile sub ledgers
- Investigate and resolve any errors with operating companies where
Required
- Calculate and make adjustments to sales invoices where required
- Translate reporting currency to foreign currency at period end
- Check accuracy of revaluations
- Post journals for currency revaluation gains/losses
- Reporting & Close Accounting period
- Transaction Processing
- Ensure 100% match of interfaced data to Feeder Systems
Requirements:
- EU Passport or valid working permission for the Czech Republic
- Fluent (or Native) French & an advanced level of English – No Czech language is required.
- 2 years plus GL accounting experience and 1 years plus staff management experience (3 yrs plus experience in total)
- Highly advanced interpersonal and communications skills
- Advanced PC skills
