Accounting Manager (revenue recognition)
Our client is a US market leading global player, a name you will almost certainly know,
The Job:
Full accountability for Revenue Accounting for Europe, including:
Owner of Revenue accounting procedures and policies
Responsible for regular review/documentation of EU revenue accounting processes
Owner of the revenue accounting model (incl. regular review of the algorithms)
Review of non-standard deals for Revenue recognition
Supports to EU Accounting director on all revenue accounting matters
Leads the EU Revenue accounting team (3 professionals):
Accountability that all revenue accounting entries are processed as per month end closing schedule
Accountability that all unbilled balances are reconciled
Accountability that all deferred revenue / deferred commission balances are reconciled
Accountability that bad debt expense is adjusted for revenue not yet recognized
Accountability that international deals are accounted correctly
Represents EU Finance in all revenue accounting related projects
Key contact point for both internal as well as external auditors on all revenue
Requirements:
- EU Passport or valid working permission for the Czech Republic.
- Fluent (Or Native) English– No Czech Language required
- Degree educated – ACCA / MBA an advantage
- 5 years plus senior level accounting experience including at least 2 years with revenue recognition
- Experince/ knowledge of US GAAP& IFRS accounting
- Highly organized
- First-rate attention to detail
- Numerically accurate
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts through reasoned communication
